    As part of the International Plastic Bag Free Day celebrations, the Green Campus Cell and Nature & Biodiversity Club of Noble Women’s College, Manjeri, in association with the EZED Foundation, conducted an Upcycling Workshop on Tote Bag Making on 3rd July 2025. The event aimed to promote sustainability through the creative reuse of old clothes and to encourage students to adopt eco-friendly lifestyle habits.

The workshop aimed to create awareness on the creative reuse of old clothes and promote sustainable lifestyle practices among students. Participants were trained to make tote bags from discarded fabrics, emphasizing the potential of reusing textile waste instead of burning or discarding it.

    • The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Saidalavi C., Principal, Malabar College of Advanced Studies.

    As part of the State Government’s Swachhata Hi Seva (Cleanliness Festival) held from September 17 to November 1, a Beach Cleanup Drive was organized at Paravanna Beach to mark World Tourism Day.
    The initiative aimed to spread awareness about environmental conservation, sustainable tourism, and the importance of keeping public spaces clean. Students of Noble Women’s College actively participated in the cleanup, showcasing youth commitment towards a greener tomorrow.

    • The event was inaugurated by Mrs. Rajani, Vice President, Vettom Grama Panchayat.
    • Panchayat officials including the Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Health Inspector, and Ward Members were present and addressed the gathering.
